အသက္ ၁၉ ႏွစ္ အရြယ္ ေဆာ္ဒီအမ်ိဳးသမီးတစ္ဦးသည္ လူ ၇ ဦး ၏ အုပ္စုဖြဲ႕မုဒိမ္းက်င့္ျခင္းကိုခံရသည့္အတြက္ ေထာင္ ၆ လ ႏွင့္ သူမ၏ ကာအိေျႏၵပ်က္ျပားမႈ (မုဒိမ္းက်င့္ခံရေအာင္ မိန္းကေလးတစ္ဦးတည္းရွိေနမႈ) ႏွင့္  ထိုမုဒိမ္းမႈအေၾကာင္း မီဒီယာသို႔ဖြင့္ဟခဲ့မႈတို႔အတြက္ ႀကိမ္ဒဏ္ အခ်က္ ၂၀၀ ခ်မွတ္ျခင္းခံခဲ့ရသည္။

"အေရွ႕အလယ္ပိုင္းေစာင့္ၾကည့္ေရး" မွ ေဖာ္ျပခ်က္အရ  ရွီးယားအမ်ိဳးသမီးတစ္ဦး
သူမ၏သူငယ္ခ်င္းေက်ာင္းသူတစ္ဦးႏွင့္အတူ သူမ၏ကားေပၚ၌ရွိေနစဥ္ လူႏွစ္ဦး ကားထဲသို႔ဝင္လာၿပီး ကားကိုလူျပတ္ေသာေနရာတစ္ခုသို႔ေမာင္းသြားကာ ထိုေနရာ၌ သူမကို လူ ၇ ဦး က မုဒိမ္းက်င့္ခဲ့သည္။ မုဒိမ္းသမားမ်ားကို ၅ ႏွစ္ ေထာင္ဒဏ္ခ်မွတ္ခဲ့သည္။

ေဆာ္ဒီဥပေဒ၌ အမ်ိဳးသမီးတစ္ဦး လူျမင္ကြင္းတြင္ ရွိေနသမွ်အခ်ိန္တိုင္း သူမကို သူမ၏မိသားစုဝင္ အမ်ိဳးသားတစ္ဦးက အေဖာ္ျပဳေပးရမည္ဟု ဆိုထားသည္။ ထိုအမ်ိဳးသမီးမွာ ထိုဥပေဒကို ခ်ိဳးေဖာက္သျဖင့္ ကနဦး ႀကိမ္ဒဏ္ အခ်က္ ၉၀ အျပစ္ေပးျခင္းခံရသည္။

အမ်ိဳးသမီး၏ ျပစ္ဒဏ္ကို ႀကိမ္ဒဏ္ ၉၀ မွ ၂၀၀ သို႔ တိုးျမွင့္လိုက္သည့္အေပၚ အမ်ိဳးသမီး၏ေရွ႕ေန အဗၺဒူလ္ရာဟ္မန္က ေဆာ္ဒီတရားရံုးကို အယူခံသည္။ သို႔ေသာ္ အမ်ိဳးသမီးမွ မီဒီယာႏွင့္ စကားေျပာခဲ့သည္ကို ေတြ႕ရွိၿပီး ေရွ႕ေနကို ေရွ႕ေနလုပ္ခြင့္ပိတ္သိမ္းကာ ေရွ႕ေနလိုင္စင္ပါ သိမ္းဆည္းလိုက္သည္။

Gang Raped Saudi Woman Sentenced to 200 Lashes and Jail Term

A 19 year old Saudi woman who was raped by 7 men has been sentenced to 6 months jail term and 200 lashes for speaking about crime and indecency to the media.

According to the reports of Middle East Monitor, Shia woman was in the car of a student friend when 2 men got into the vehicle and drove them to a secluded area, where she was raped by the 7 men. The rapists are sentenced to 5 years of jail term.

As per Saudi law, a male family member is supposed to accompany a woman at all hours in public. The victim was initially sentenced to 90 lashes for breaking this law. The Saudi Ministry of Justice said in a statement “The Ministry of Justice welcomes constructive criticism, away from emotions”.

Abdul Rahman al-Lahem, victim’s lawyer appealed to the court of Saudi Arabia Court after the court increased the lashes to 200 from 90. However, on finding the woman guilty on speaking with the media, the lawyer was banned along with having his license confiscated.
